Weekly blog about my push for 2nd dan.

Hello, I went to class last night and got to spend a good amount of time with one of my favorite instructors. Thank you KSN.
I am starting to see just how far I have to go to truly be ready for my test. There are times that I feel like a white belt. Trying to wrap my head around what I need to make my body do. Much work to do, much work.
I am a little sore, my right glute and my neck are sore. I think I strained it when we did the frog hops. I like them but I may have tried a little to hard without enough warm up. One more thing I need to pay attention to. Details details. I am as motivated as ever.

  • Hi CGN Samms,

I'm with you on the 'trying to wrap my head around what I need to make my body do'! More easily thought than done, sometimes is definitely my experience.

But you should know that your motivation fills the dojang like jelly in a doughnut! I listen to you work with me and with others. You have a great eye, a kind heart, and a hugely strong desire to move yourself and others ahead.

Make the energy, share the energy, be the energy.

  • Hey CGN, how you feeling after tonight's practice?
  • I am happy you got to work with KSN ulityonok. He is a great example of a 2nd dan, and a great example of a martial artist. Hope your body recovers well. remember RICEI rest, ice, compression (hard to do on a glute) elevation, and ibuprofen.
