My living hero's

I thought about who my living hero's would be a while ago when our new CGN's were testing for their black belts. I have a few of them. The first one would have to be my mom. I guess for the simple fact of, she never gave up on me. I think back now on how she helped mold me into to this adult person that I am. Always there to put a band aid on my knee, the warmth of her hug, how she prepared a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup when I was under the weather.(I was in my 30's the last time she did this) She taught me right from wrong, she didn't let me get away with the things my "other" friends were doing. She encouraged me to do things even though I was scared to try. She showed me that I could do anything that I wanted to do in life and that being scared is not a bad thing. To take challenges that come my way. And stand up for what is right.
What amazes me is that she did most of this through her actions not words. And I got it!
She is still an amazing lady and proves to me that there is no end to giving it your best shot. She is 66 years old and going to test for he black belt soon in Hapkido. She started at 62yrs old... Go mom you can do it! You are my Hero.
