Sitting around in the center of Northgate Mall, ready to wrap gifts for the Cancer Children Careline. Although people were not coming, as anticipated by the organizer, at this early season. But, our presence drawed peoples attention to our little booth. I took out an ribbon and started pulling the flaps soon making a pretty blue flower. I pulled out a cell phone and checked the time, 5:30PM,yay. Just 3 and a 1/2 hours to go! As the clock ticks away I pass the time by going on the Kindle Fire, making ribbons and looking around the mall. A man from a store came and asked us about the packages because apparently everyone who bought something from that store wanted the gifts to be wrapped! He said that in the future he would send the customers here to get it wrapped!Finally it was 9:00PM my mom and I packed up the wrapping paper, counted the money, brought some stuff from the table down,and finally called security. We looked at the note the organizer wanted us to follow and checked the number to make sure. It turns out we needed an escort to get to the office and that means security! We follow thesecurity guard in through some doors that say V.I.P. lounge! We follow him up an elevator and lead us to a small office with a safe with 2 locks, a little compartment to put money in and a knob for turning the compartment. I put the $50 in the compartment and turn the knob, Ker-thunk! Its done! Soon I walk back to the car smiling and thinking about how since we were there lots of people were going to save children with cancer! Yay!

     I watched all the family members get off the carousel, all waving and smiling. I ask many of them if they want a bag, but only a few say yes. I looked over at the donation bucket and notice that there is more gifts in there. Yay! Another ride another crowd over and over again. Each time seeing more and more happy families. I hope that treehouse will get lots of people and let foster children be that way. Ahhhhhh, Christmas

     This project is to help treehouse a foster child program. Me and my mom are supposed to wait at the carousel exit and hand people donation bags. Lots of people came and many had donations and wanted a bag, then they would head to a shop and come back for another ride and give us the things they bought. All of a sudden lights are flashing in a nearby building and a annoying beep beep beep sound came out. About 20-30 minutes later the firefighters arrived and sat there for a long time. Figuring out how to disable the alarm, finnaly, two men went inside and shut it off. Then the carousel broke, two times!! Although all these things happend I had a good time and felt happy whenever someone had a donation.

My friend and I walk down a beaten dirt path with my mom following behind. We drop our trees off in the right section. My friend and I don't need to talk much to know what we were thinking,tired sweaty and a tad hungry. An hour later everyone gathers in a circle to learn how to plant a tree from the woman who set this all up. It was hard work as me and my friend jump on the shovels to get them in the ground. We find a sleeping caterpillar and a fuzzy caterpillar and a bear caterpillar as well. I thought about how soon all these trees will be eating, sleeping,and even giving birth on these trees. Soon everybody is gathered for a walk as the woman explains what the goal of this is, to restore this whole field. Apparently before this group bought the property blackberries took over. Forcing some animals to leave and making the land look like a hurricane hit it! But then they bought the land, organized a bunch of groups to come and help restore the land! This made me think about this woman and how she really wanted the world to be better. And boy, did it make me feel good!

     My first hero is my gu-zheng teacher Shirley. She is great with the gu-zheng and I admire her for that.

     My second hero is my private gymnastics teacher Celia who is super flexible and nice and fun!

     My third hero is Dr.Bailey who was my flute teacher in fifth grade who was absolutely great with the flute.

     My fourth hero is Mrs.Larkin who is my 3/4 block teacher who really likes cultures and it is fun to tell her about China.

     My fifth hero is My Mom who always listens to me and is super nice and awesome!!!!!!!
