Think about the difference between saying: "yeah, i  plan a little golf, and go on the treadmill a few times a week"  and ,   "Yeah, i do some kicking and boxing drills, some pad work and self defense training, we warm down with a little yoga and resistance core work" .  I mean come on, it is just cool.

2.  Business Sharpness

If there is one thing you must do to thrive in martial arts, in the ring as it were, is to develop the ability to think clearly, creatively, and stay focused under massive pressure.  Let me tell you, those skills are transferrable directly to your work, and life outside the dojang.

3.  Stress reduction

yelling, kicking, moving, punching, and frankly sometimes pounding the heck out of a heavy bag just feels great.  It clears your mind, and relaxes your body.

4. Increase bone density

Your bones are going to get some great benefit from the workouts you do.  One of our blackbelts saw a marked bone density increase from training in martial arts.  It isn't enough to drink milk.

5.  Lean muscle

You will gain lean muscle mass with this combination of cardio, and resistance workout.  more lean muscle mass, more choleric burn.  and frankly, it just looks good on you.  Makes you feel younger, and stronger, and all around great about yourself.

6.  Take some "me" time

So many folks are taking care of kids, their parents, the careers, runni3820637118?profile=originalng errands, walking the dog, and taxi driving the kids. . .  You need to have some time for you.   some recharge, some personalized training and attention from knowledgeable expert instructors.   Some time just for you.   Get in the zone, the flow, and re energize.  It is your time.

8 it is good for your brain

Doing something new, learning, trying something outside of your typical experience.  Out of your comfort zone.  increases your brain elasticity (not to mention the other brain benefits).  Give your brain a jolt in a safe and fun way.
