As some of you know, and some of you are participating, or just signed in supporting the team: I have launched into a major process: The Incredible Shrinking Master Project.
The project is about facilitating the realization of my dreams and hopes for health, and fitness as well as to inspire others to dream bigger, and to believe in their ability to become their own Shrinking Masters. To have fun, learn, change, laugh, push myself to the limits, and to channel my doggedly persistent, slightly obsessional nature into health, and a more positive psychology of my own.
Along the way so far we have had 8 folks join the project. Many more are following and setting goals, sharing their process and hope for a healthier life. Together, as only one means of measurement of our progress, we have lost 204 pounds.
Much of the measurement of my success is the loss of fat and increase of overall fitness, strength, and physical health, and what I am finding, as I imagined I would, is an increase in the positive mental aspects related to working toward a big goal. And I have noticed the same in the "team" that has developed.
I would like to launch another 12 week push together as a team in September-- the fall always lends itself to such a project. Lets refresh our vision, and make a big move toward our goals. Come and join in on the conversation, and process at https://www.facebook.com/TheIncredibleShrinkingMaster
I would also like to invite anyone who would like to come and try a "Big Martial Arts" classes at our school: Mercer Island Martial Arts. A supportive, team of folks all working in a positive and fun way to goals of all kinds. We can make it adaptive to most any limitations, and help with a fun workout.
Some of the individual accomplishments:
My total loss so far: 29 pounds
Huston Turcott -- in three months has lost 68 pounds
Dani Turcott --- first three months lost 43 pounds
Tamika Bray Curry --- on track to make 52 health changes in 52 weeks, and is down 16 pounds
Wendy Wyce Allyn -- down 11 pounds
Claudia Vlcek -- down 21 pounds
Krista Wells --- 9 pounds down
annonymous: 7 pounds
( please let me know if I missed reporting your progress, and then I can add it to the total as well)
